This helped me to get to the required 800 dashes on the first try, although even this was pretty hard for me. Because you do this over the row of purple squares, your stamina won't ever run out. So you will be actually dashing back and forth. When you start dashing in the position described above, you will dash over the mouse cursor, so when you dash again, you will be dashing in the exactly opposite direction. This works because the Drifter always dashes in the direction of the mouse cursor. That's all, you can now leave the mouse alone and concentrate on timing presses! Then point your mouse cursor over the center of the row directly perpendicular from the player character. Put the player character beside one of these rows. Remember that the purple squares which form two vertical rows restore your stamina when you pass over them. In this game mouse controls are significanty different from gamepad because there is now a cursor in which direction the Drifter dashes when you press space. What you have to do is, first, enable keyboard+mouse controls (it won't work with the game pad). There are four things that you can unlock in this room by getting a high enough dash combo: - The 'Chain Dash Champion' achievement unlocks at 25 dashes in a row - A gold piece unlocks at 100. So it is actually possible to avoid going around in circles. If you only have to do one thing (either lead the Drifter or press the dash button) then it becomes much easier. The hardest bit about it (at least for me) is that you have to lead the Drifter around the central wall, at the same time timing button presses perfectly.
